I'm glad I left this place. I lived here for over a year and thought it was a decent complex starting out. It doesn't really have any special amenities, but I didn't mind staying here. What pissed me off was when my package of over $600 worth of stuff was stolen, and Cortland completely dropped the ball with keeping the property secure.

A gate would constantly be open for months on end, and the package room was still closed after someone broke into it months prior. It was completely pathetic how someone could just walk onto the property and steal people's stuff so easily. Why did it take so long for y'all to fix things? When I brought that issue to the front office, they offered no helpful solutions. It was only recommended that I fill out a police report and was given some disingenuous apology.

I didn't have a doorbell camera and couldn't find a video of the perpetrator with my stuff. Y'all are responsible for keeping this place secure, and it shouldn't have happened in the first place! I ended up leaving once my lease was up and was glad that I did that. I was a day past my move out date, so I ended up being owed less than my original deposit in reimbursement.

It somehow gets even worse. I left in late June, and it's now September, and I still haven't received my deposit reimbursement. It was supposed to be 3 months at most to receive my deposit back. I called the property to find out what was taking so long, and it was apparently sent to the wrong place. Despite them having the correct address in the system. How does that happen? I can't stand this place, and I'm glad that I left; just get me back what I'm owed at this point.

If you're familiar and set on the area, it's a great property. Updated, has everything you need. But if you're not used to living in unsafe areas -- yeesh! Steer clear.

Shady characters walking around at night, and I've had two instances of gunfire heard -- one happening right next to me as I was driving east on Briargrove between the side gate and the main entrance at 2am in the early morning of December 1st, and a second instance of six shots fired followed by sporadic car honking heard from my apartment on Wednesday, December 18th at 10:30 PM. According to Citizen, 400 feet away. Two instances, and I've been here for just over a month.

Worth mentioning that when my boyfriend was touring Cortland Legacy down the road (same property management company, different location), the leasing agent there warned me about this location...

The rating is more of a reflection on the area, which I have no idea why isn't being brought up more. The positive reviews were the reason I moved in to begin with. Maybe I was being ignorant? Everyone was telling me I was being dramatic, but moving to a different area for a better price point is worth the peace of mind, esp since I'm a living-solo girlie.

Got my car towed here as a guest. Had to pay $170 cuz my parking registry expired and didnt update it in time. Was within 48hours of it being registered. No lientancy or any help of any kind.

It's been almost 2 months since we terminated our lease and left this awful complex. I left a month early prior to lease end and paid 2800 for early lease termination In August due to how miserable it was living here. We made numerous complaints and sent videos and the people at the front desk refused to help. Management here are worthless, no need to file complaints, they'll just tell you that you're the problem, That was my experience after speaking with the manager in June. It was then I decided to never rent another apartment and proceed to start the home buying process.

2 months later we closed and left immediately. Lease termination was September 11. It's now 47 days and they still haven't returned our security deposit. September 27th they sent the final statement highlighting the money they owed us. I have sent numerous emails and the people at the front desk replied saying ticket is opened. They asked for forwarding address more than a month ago, still nothing.

Avoid this company, they were raided by the FBI this Summer for violating Anti -trust laws, that alone tells you all you need to know about their operations and the people who work for them. They're not just unethical, but have a penchant for not complying with federal and or state laws.

My partner and I moved here from out of state two months ago and the entire process from the moment we applied up until the day we moved in was very quick and smooth.

I have been very impressed with this community in the short two months I have been here. The apartment itself is spacious and the updated finishes give it a very modern feel. The maintenance team usually responds to and completes requests in the same day which is always great.

I’d also like to give a special shout-out to Angelica from the leasing office! She was the person who made this process for us moving from out of state so easy. The communication was quick and consistent. She was able to fully articulate thoroughly the answers to any question that we had. I have nothing but good things to say about Angelica and the entire leasing office team!
