There is only one room of memorabilia plus the Yoda fountain outside but they were great. This is a must see for all Lucas Film fans as there are a lot of genuine props.

If you walk from the ILM building towards Palace of Fine Arts there is a view that looks exactly like Naboo. This must have been the creators’ inspiration.

A must see for any movie buff. Take in the Yoda fountain, but also sneak inside the lobby it’s free and they don’t mind as long as you don’t touch and don’t do video photography!

It's very quiet coz the artists have to think. Nice place to learn a bit about how movie effects were made when computers were too slow to render everything.

Great place to see films if you have access to industry screenings! The lobby is fun, the theater is top notch visual and audio quality, and the restrooms have wonderful hand soap that smells like marzipan! If you know someone who works there, you might be able to take a tour, too, which gets you a peek at some great film props and memorabilia, plus get access to the gift shop. Nice cafeteria, too!

I’ve enjoyed and admired the work of ILM for decades and just visited them yesterday. Their space in this “historical business park” are closed to the public, and there is little to see in the lobby beyond pre-ILM theatre posters and a nice Ray Harryhausen statue. The pics I’m seeing in the reviews of R2-D2 etc are at the LucasFilm lobby, not ILMs. Moreover, LucasFilm just closed its lobby to the public as well. We were told too many tourists were making too much racket for people to work. Apparently too many people forgot this is a workplace.
It’d be nice to see an actual ILM museum someday….

If you're visiting all you'll see is a fountain and a lobby, but if you're a fan of their work, that's all you'll need to make the trip worthwhile!
