Elena Altman is incredibly passionate, personable, and talented. She is not only driven but also inclusive and friendly. She responds quickly to inquires left on the MMTB page, and makes every attempt to fully answer any questions. If you are a film student, a director learning the ropes, an actor seeking a community, or just want to learn more about indie film production through experience, MMTB is definitely worth checking out.

Under Elena's leadership, MMTB provides a terrific opportunity for people to explore and experience film making. To get any opportunity to experience film making is hugely difficult for many people. MMTB events, especially their "Film 'n A Day" events provide everybody with a good attitude that opportunity. I feel very lucky to have found MMTB and to have had those experiences.

P.s. I am skeptical that the people posting one-star reviews, with either zero explanation or with obviously bogus explanation, are even haters. My guess is that they are just little trolls whose biggest thrill comes, pathetically, from anonymously posting nasty reviews of things they know nothing about.

MMTB provides a series of unique opportunities. You can, for a very modest price, register, show up, and be part of a movie! You can be in one as an actor, you can help as crew, you can write, or with a little more effort and prep, you can direct. Fabulous experience. And your film will be shown in a theater!

MMTB offers several other kinds of opportunities as well including actors’ days to help build your acting reel, full length features, producers’ challenges, mixers, viewings, and several annual film festivals. I don’t know anywhere else in the Bay Area that offers these kinds of opportunities to everyone, actors, crew, writers, and directors alike. Especially well suited to beginners but plenty of opportunities for intermediate and advanced folks as well.
