Checkbooks literally saved my business from financial collapse! I had a bookkeeper that I paid for nothing. He didn't keep my stuff in order or track anything and I was too naive to know the better. I found out before I almost lost control of my business.
I made a post in a local group, in minutes Macen replied and messaged me. We set up a Zoom call. He talked to me about my goals for my business, and where things were. He sent me a book in the mail called "Profit First" which has been an eye opening read. He taught me and mentored me in financial understanding of my business over the past year almost. He organized the sloppy mess from my last bookkeeper for honestly what I consider a great fee. Every month he meets with me on Zoom and we touch base. We talk about goals, life, my numbers, my projections, etc...
He is more then my bookeeper at this point. He is a friend, trusted advisor, and mentor.
