Was riding through town and needed a couple adjustments on a bike, tech/mechanic we talked too was insanely pretentious and not polite.

Store is also poorly layed out, no bike parking. I’ve worked in multiple shops and seen some edgy mechanics but this was something else entirely, wouldn’t recommend giving your business here

While touring from Canada to Mexico I found myself needing to fly out for a family medical emergency situation and needed a bike box to do it. The friendly folks at Adventure’s edge had a box that they pulled aside for me until I could get to their store and graciously allowed me to use their back lot out off the city streets as a staging area while I prepped my bike for the flight. When I was finished they allowed me to use their packing tape to seal the box and hang out until a ride to the airport could arrive. They have a well stocked store and a large service area for all your biking needs.

Bought a bike 3 years ago, got up sold on tubless tires and for 3 years have had flats EVERYTIME I want to ride it. Had them “fixed” once and was charged for it. I don’t know if the t guy who sold them to me still works there, but his work is either lazy or incompetent. I would recommend spending your money elsewhere. I’d didn’t buy a project bike and to be clear the tires go flat in between rides not during. I tried to go for a ride today and the front went flat before I could even load the bike. I did find the leak where the stem seals to the rim. Poor workmanship, poor support, poor customer satisfaction. What was bought to be fun has been 3 years of frustration and disappointment

UPDATE: took the tire somewhere else for repair, the tire was tubeless compatible, but the rim is not. So it’s either deception for an up sell or incompetence

I just called this shop to ask some questions about the local climbing, biking and rafting for an upcoming trip. The guy on the phone was super rude and condescending. I started off my asking if he has a moment to help me with some questions, no response and then, “so are you going to ask your questions.” I informed him that I have multiple guidebooks and have done my research but was looking for a local perspective. When I asked my first question about being able to access climbing locations during a certain month he told me to google it and said next question. At that point I replied I think we are good here thanks. With a quick “ok” he hung up.

It’s a bummer that gear shops have stopped being about helping people get out and have adventure. It’s doubtful this person does any of the adventure activities he is selling gear for and is rather a retail worker that cares little about the outdoor community. My advise is to tell this guy to go for a bike ride and lose the attitude so he does not lose another customer.🤙

I bike every single day (6k+ miles a year, 100+ hrs a month), my bike is my primary form of transportation. I have done business with adventures edge many times and the mechanics besides Jeff, are pretentious. I have even gone into adventures edge ready to drop a grand or more and walked out because they are so rude. I don't have the nicest bike, but it shifts electronically and has carbon bits. It's not, an unnice bike. Everytime I give them a chance, besides Jeff, it's a horrible experience. I tried to take my bike in to have a fork installed saturday, and they said it would be ready before three pm on Monday. I called at 1pm Monday and asked how my bike was doing, only to get the response, "Have we called you? If we haven't your bike isn't ready yet." And so I asked if I could get an update, to which they transfered me to the bike mechanic and the mechanic said they didn't have a part they needed, but hadn't called me to tell me, so nothing had been done at all. When I walked in, across town to see what the part was, they treated me like I was the issue, while also having random parts that weren't mine labeled for my bike and then telling me I brought them in a bunch of random pieces and it was my fault. No sense of customer service was given. It was completely rude from the get go. Whoever answers the phone has horrible customer service and is pretentious. I asked them for their name when leaving and they said, who are you, and I said a customer, I'd like your name, and they replied, I don't know you, so I'm not telling you my name. Whoever that person is, ruins Adventure Edge. (The employees also would not act like that if the owner was there. To be fair, she is nice. But she was not there.) Noone was kind or nice and so I elected to take my bike elsewhere to Revolution, who didn't have any issues with fixing it within the day, which they did. I will never go back to adventures edge.

This is not the first time either I've had issues with adventures edge and the customer service. Even if you want to support your local businesses like I do, this one is not one worth supporting. They don't care about everyday bikers. They don't care about their community at large. They are elitist. Which is a shame.

If you read more reviews about adventures edge you will see this is a common occurrence here.

I went in recently to get my bike fixed after getting a flat and making it worse, horrible day. Hernan fixed it for me and was super kind and checked in with me along the way in case anything went wrong. This is gonna be my go-to bike repair place. Thank you again Hernan!

Stopped by while bicycle touring down the coast, they put so much clothing and shoes on the sidewalk you can't hardly fit a bike in the door. They have no bike parking. I had to hold my bike and ask the guy to grab me a fuel canister. He looked like he didn't want me there, i asked about a bike part akd before i can finish my sentence he cut me off to say they out of stock.. Unfortunately for me it was easier to pay them for the overpriced fuel instead of going to find it elsewhere.

Not a good shop, definitely not bike people.

Watch your prices! I have made big and small purchases over the years here and today I was delighted to find comfortable shoes in my size at a good price; unfortunately the price clearly posted was incorrect. I don’t think they meant to bait and switch but that’s what happened.
