I have seen the store evolve since we moved to the area in 2016. In general, it's a good store with a wide array of collectibles games, trading card games, role-playing games, and miniatures (for role-playing, not massive battle). They had some really cute ideas, including custom merchandise, clever "bat-coins" (gift certificate money), and one year, surprise gift boxes. Their prices can be about 15-25% higher than other local stores, and I've found some used and resale items marked as new merchandise. Not all of the staff are kid-friendly (Some are GREAT!).

If you go, get some bat coins, to save a buck or two.

Ive been shopping here for a while now for cards and dice and such. I always walk out with something they got great prices for everything. They’re always friendly and very knowledgeable. Oh but one thing I miss is the lil 5$ unknown grab packs they used to sell. I never got anything super good but I really liked opening them and just having more cards to play with and look at. It is nice they have cheap land cards in packets tho but rip 5$ grab packs 🫡.

I have visited this business twice now looking for MTG cards. I understand not allowing patrons to thumb through the cards as people tend to have sticky fingers, but the system could be more convenient than the staff having to search through them themselves. With that system, I understand setting limits on how many they are willing to find per customer, but that number was not consistent (10 allowed the first visit, 5 the second). Both visits there was only one other customer and two staff. Our second visit, both were deep in conversation with the other customer and the person assisting us limited his search to 5. Immediately he said they did not have 2 of the cards, searched and rung up the other 3, and asked if they can get us anything else. When asked if he could find additional cards, he declined and we finished our transaction. After leaving, we realized one of the cards was a similarly named, but wrong card. Disappointed in this interaction, we've decided that this store may not be for us. We appreciate this store offering tabletop gaming, but may take our business elsewhere to build decks.

Each time me and my fiancé have gone in the staff is not friendly and almost seems annoyed by our shopping. We are big in to MTG and my partner spends a lot each place he goes in to. Not saying because we spend a lot we should be treated better but it has definitely made us not want to support that local shop. As far as the other patrons a few have made me feel as if women don’t belong there…thankfully Vancouver has plenty of other shops that are more than supportive of women in the mtg community and the staff at these other places are always welcoming and appreciative of the time and money we spend in their shops!

I’ve been coming here for years. I’m so happy I’ve been able to move my in person D&D games back to the store. Online gaming was fun, but it’s not the same.

Now that I’ve gotten back into Magic, the gathering the staff has been helping me to learn everything that’s changed since 1997.

Shop who scalps goods. Owner is selling Prismatic Evolutions for $20 a pack. Don’t support scalpers like this business. Pretty sure they reseal their booster packs too. Shady and dishonest. There is no point in shopping local and helping them out if they are ripping off the community they are supposed to serve.
