Dissatisfied with owners lack of customer service skills. My 10yr old son begged me to take him here on our way in to Hollister. He wanted to see if they traded or purchased cards. So I took him & he was super excited. He packed up his favorite cards in a case & when we arrived, he asked if he could take them all down. I told him no & to just choose 3 to take in, in case they didn’t buy/trade (because I didn’t want him walking with his case in the store).

We got there around 11:30a, we were the only people in there besides the owner & a nice man who was vacuuming. My son asked the owner if they purchased cards, the owner said yes, but only the ones they’re looking for. He didn’t even want to look at what he had at first, saying “I just don’t want to look at a whole bunch of cards” My son put his cards back into his pocket, when the owner saw that it was only 3 cards, he asked to look at his cards.

Then again said “yeah I just don’t want to look at a whole bunch of cards” like he’s not in the business of selling cards or anything like that 😑. Yes maybe say that to an adult, but to a child?

I am so happy I did not let my son take down his case of cards because he would’ve been more crushed not getting any of them looked at. He was so discouraged walking out of there, not because the owner didn’t buy any of his cards, but because he felt as though the owner didn’t take him serious because he was a kid. My son felt as though he just didn’t want to talk to him. He quickly handed my son a paper of cards they’re looking for.

When we walked back to the car, my son told me he had a good amount of graded cards that they were looking for in his case, and I asked if he wanted to go back in to show him and he replied “no he’s not going to want to see them since I have them in the case with a bunch of my other ones”.

Again, it’s not because he didn’t buy anything. My son knew there was a high chance that the place didn’t buy/trade cards. We’ve gone to card stores to sell, & he’s been passed up a couple of times, so that’s not new to him. What was new to him, was an adult treating him like he was wasting his time.

The only reason for the visit was for my son, it’s safe to say we won’t be returning.

Some advice: be mindful of how you treat children, they are next generation of collectors.

Need a gift for b-day or Xmas You have to check this place out!!! Great place for comics, sports memorabilia, Pokemon, etc.. Aiden is awesome and really knows his stuff! Bill is great and is a major staple in this community. Go take a look they are a great place!

Bought two sonic comics there. Im happy to see that the owner keeps these in stock especially the new 50th edition with different art covers. It didn’t come out too long ago either. The owner was super friendly too. Will be back for more :]

Always love to visit Bills when im in hollister. They have awesome comics and cool collectibles, some of which I haven't seen anywhere else. The staff are incredibly nice and will help you with whatever you are interested and they really value their customers. Super great for those who have been around comics for a long time or those just starting out.

This is a great comic shop to keep up to date with all that is happening in the industry, if you are a returning customer they are willing to keep in stocks the comics you read and if there is a specific issue you want they can order it for you. Not to mention all the cards and figures too. Good place, big fan.

Great Customer Service! First time there, Bill recommended which Baseball TOPPS pack to choose from and pulled out an Orlando Cepeda signed card. Bill also provided multiple raffle tickets after my purchase for a future raffle giveaway. Will definitely be a returning customer.

I always love going to Bill's Bullpin. It is great, have loved going here since I was a kid. Even though I move out of Hollister, I always try and stop by and check out what's in stock. Also, there is a great collection of funko pops there

Awesome Store. first time there bought a NFL blaster pack and pulled some very good rookie cards 😀 . Bill is cool too gave me raffle tickets after my purchase so I will definitely be back to check the board! AND also included 2 free NFL packs! I really enjoyed it Thank you Bill's bullpen!
