Writing a review after visiting on several occasions. Noel is incredible; very knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. He has helped me maintain my 2010 MacBook Pro over the years by replacing the screen, data transfer after I replaced the spinning hard drive with a SSD, and helped me narrow my focus on accessories (i.e., charger) so I don't have to waste money buying cheap ones every few months like I was doing before. I would HIGHLY recommend at least stopping in if you have issues before you commit $$$$ to other computer repair and data transfer stores. I found him on accident, but I've returned two other times and every time I left without having to spend unnecessarily. Exceptional customer service and a great guy - no issue is too big or small from my experience.

If I could give this company 5 million stars I would. My modestly high end gaming laptop’s charging port broke, rendering my laptop completely useless. Every shop in the area said they couldn’t fix it. My favorite piece of technology was now the equivalent of a brick. Que BYOD, I brought my laptop in and a week or two later it is %100 fixed. Good as the day I got it! I want to thank BYOD for their exceptionally high quality service. I can’t recommend them enough if you have any computer issues, I know if I ever have another computer issue BYOD is my first and last stop!!! Thank you BYOD ❤️❤️❤️

Noel is an absolute genius magician when it comes to fixing devices and recovering data. My husband and I have brought multiple phones and laptops to him with various issues and he has not disappointed us once. Furthermore, he’s an incredibly trustworthy person who operates his business with serious integrity- we first discovered BYOD after we’d been turned away by apple’s Genius Bar because they couldn’t replace a laptop battery they didn’t have in stock- had it been in stock the service alone would have cost us 180$. We then found Noel, who charged us 20$, the price of the battery, and nothing else because he said the task/labour was literally as simple as changing the battery in a flashlight. Noel is so brilliant we don’t feel the need to purchase insurance for our phones because BYOD is more reliable and affordable than any insurance plan. Genuinely I have brought multiple cases to Noel that others have deemed hopeless and he always figures out a way.. We don’t even live in LA anymore but I still won’t bring my broken devices anywhere else, and have been saving something to bring to Noel for our next visit! Because yeah I just can’t conceive how I could ever put my devices in better, fairer hands.

I rarely leave comments, but I felt compelled to give high marks to Noel. My hard drive had crashed and I was freaking out a little bit over losing a few files that I never backed up (yes, yes I know, I should have known better). I called around and inquired about data retrieval, but the prices of these places were astronomical, and the confidence in their ability to help seemed vague and a bit sketchy, respectively. I took a chance after speaking with Noel over the phone, and brought my computer in to BYOD to see what he could do. There were no shady deals, no payment upfront to see if MAYBE the data could be recovered. He does it on a tier system, and the explained prices of each tier were perfectly reasonable, or at the very least they made sense given the various workloads. I specifically appreciated that had he not been able to cultivate my seemingly lost data, there would have been no charge. He was just a straightforward, honest guy. He was communicative throughout the process (only a few days), and in the end recovered all of my data. On a personal level, he’s an intelligent/friendly guy that made me feel like I was in good hands. I’d definitely recommend him to anyone having issues similar to mine.

I accidentally uplugged my Western Digital My Passport from my surface pro laptop while I was transferring files into it. Now I know that its actually not a good thing to do that. After a few days, whenever I plug it back in, the hard drive will not show up and will say something like I need to format it again. I searched around for someone to help me to fix my drive or to recover my documents and I found BYOD from Google. They gave me a reasonable quote compared to a few ones that I've called around and so I went with them. And I am glad I did. Not only did they recover all my music projects ( Im a sound engineer ), but also all my photos and videos from high school. So happy that I went with BYOD. They are very professional! Thanks guys!
