I graduated from this school in 2016. This was the year all students from Metro Meridian alternative had to either switch to this school, or go back to their base school that they had left prior. (Metro closed down due to budget cuts) The students that had actually made the switch were all but extremely disappointed with the way the staff at Chester Lewis treats their students. Not only did I get basically harassed daily by the "Administrative assistant", but also felt extremely uncomfortable and not cared for by the rest of the staff including the principal. I was a hard working, very motivated, excited to learn young person... but this "school" only made me want to get out ASAP. I was the academic leader of Metro Meridian, I had great grades, and loved school until arriving here. I graduated early because I absolutely couldn't stand to be in this environment any longer, I didn't even want to walk with my class for graduation because of how terrible the staff here made me feel, I didn't want this schools name involved with MY success one bit. They did nothing but drag us kids down every single day. I truly hope the Administrators read this and head what I am saying. I felt extremely unsafe and unwelcome in this school, mainly thanks to the staff. I hope they have made changes in their faculty, or this school will remain a terrible experience for students.

My child is now in his 3rd year of attending Chester Lewis learning academy K-8 Virtual School. We have had only positive experiences. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, quickly respond to any questions that arise and most important are understanding of the various reasons and challenges that children and families attending virtual school face. The curriculum is well planned and challenging.

Our favorite parts of attending virtual school however has to be our monthly field trips. They provide a great opportunity to meet other virtual students and build a sense of community.

Chester Lewis virtually school is a great option. My child seems to be excelling and she is not pressured nor distracted anymore. She is given the opportunity to actually grasp a concept and study as deep as her hearts desire of just master that unit and move on. Plus the school is based her in town with face to face interaction with teachers and tech support, who are all AWESOME people, when needed! Great program!

This is our second year with the school, and we absolutely love it! The teachers and staff are amazing! They offer field trips/various social activities, and my boys love it. The curriculum and online programs are user-friendly and easy to navigate through.

Summer school didn’t even started, but it’s already huge disappointment. You can see, that principal does not care about kids, parents, or teachers. Why would anyone make mandatory 1 hour face to face training session for the students Friday before Memorial weekend when school starts on Tuesday. It prevents families to take family vacation. It says Virtual Summer School May 29-June 14. Shouldn’t be first day on the first day, not three days earlier.

When the teachers pick with you and put their feelings before their professionalism🤦🏾‍♀️ principal takes the teachers side and when we have a meeting about it… “get her out of here before I get pissed off” any way to talk about a kid or directly towards like that? I just came here for an education man…😒

Having graduated in 2016, I can look back and say that my four years here were well spent. High school is tough for some, but I truly feel that Chester Lewis Academic Learning Center helped me graduate in as straight forward and simple a manner as possible. This style of school is not for everyone, but it was definitely for me.

First steps toward pre k for our son. We were nervous, all the teachers and workers put at ease amd our son loved it highly recommend
