I am moving out as I am typing right now. I stayed here my full lease. Some many in ethical changes made. My first day staying here I was fined a 50$ garbage fee due to it not being enough space for me to put my moving items that needed to be disposed. Yolanda ( who was fired) was the worse. She never cared and was very unprofessional. I have multiple recordings of how disrespectful and unprofessional she was. I was never a problem. I would report things and nothing was ever done about it until you owed some money. Then they want to put a million and one notices on your door. Every other leasing office has it to where you can have your deposit that you paid at move in directly deposited back to you. Britany ( who took Yolanda spot) wouldnāt even call corporate to verify that it could be done. The little boy that works at the front knows nothing and acts like he knows it all. I was very disappointed and dissatisfied with my stay. I was given the option to renew and they increased the rent by 200$ for the unit I was in. They are very uneducated when it comes to being in a leasing office and the duties and responsibilities it intelās. They have to call or text corporate every five minutes and they never ever pick up the phone unless you owe them money. I loved my apartment And thatās it! I was one of those tenants that paid and stayed to myself. It took them five months to fix my shelves in my unit. Then they did a horrible job at it.
If I can give you a piece of advice donāt go stay there! You will regret it. Everyone that moved in around the time I moved in has moved out.
So I moved out a they are attempting to keep my entire deposit. The pictures that are attached to this review is my apartment as I cleaned and made sure it was clean. I have the recording of when I moved out and the leasing office lady didnāt say any of these charges were going to be added. I would take accountability for the two stains thatās on the carpet in my childrenās room ( which were very small) but the walls from the tvs being mounted is considered normal where and tear and itās smaller then a quarter. Also, they charged me a cleaning fee plus a fee to clean the carpet. Thatās double charging me. I am actively about to hire an attorney because they will owe me two times the amount they charged me for over charging me.

Moved in on 3/12/25 today is 3/27/25 and so far so good. I absolutely have no complaints. I love that everything is up to date and modern looking. They have an awesome playground, swimming area, workout / yoga room and the property is always clean. The only down side I must say is they donāt have a lot of garbage areas. My garage area is far from my unit, but other then that the management team are very helpful and easy to work with.

I am a disabled woman with 3 young children and I am very upset about my experience with the office staff. When I toured the unit and first applied, I requested a handicap unit but there were none available. I advised the staff that I would take a standard unit but would require a handicap parking spot near my unit because of my mobility issues due to my MS which requires me to use a walker and mobility aids. I submitted an application for reasonable accommodation per request from the office and was told it may take weeks. A resident next to me with no mobility limitations received a handicap spot within the first month. I have been a resident for the last year here and have yet to receive my spot. I have called many times and left many messages and finally in March, near the end of my lease a staff member informed me that the request was never filed but left in a desk unsubmited. The staff member had me fill out another form and ensured me that I would not have to wait long or repeat the approval process which requires me to make doctors appointments and submit documentation etc. Meanwhile I am still waiting for my spot and my doctor is now requiring that I repeat the process which means at least another month with no spot. It is now very hot outside now and walking is very difficult for me or I would have physically gone into the office regarding this situation. The parking lot is always full near my unit and Iām trapped from leaving unless I lose my spot and may be forced to find away to get to my car. Iām a good tenant, I pay on time, I have made known my disability and sought assistance. If this is how you treat your disabled residents, this is discrimination and I no longer want to live here. I canāt live here without a handicap parking spot. How do you just put a handicap request in a drawer and ignore calls for help?
In addition to this, packages are stolen from the mail area and now packages must be picked up directly from staff. Again, I am disabled and canāt go up the steps and obstacles to get into the office so I have to send someone for me but they are requiring that I personally come in. I have a walker and a hard time moving but somehow will make it in there for packages? Why? I should be able to approve a person that helps me as I am a permanently disabled person and informed staff that I require accommodations.
Also, when I first moved in I was given a code that I could give to caregivers, medical delivery providers, supply deliveries etc and then they removed it. The call box system is difficult and requires me to always have my phone on me or bear by which has proven problematic. I requested a code for my use but was never answered.
Office staff is not keeping track of communications and is not taking care of their handicapped resident requests.
I left 1 star because I had to and everyone seems nice. I hope they can get organized and take better care of their disabled residents.
UPDATE: RAILEEN has been awesome! Keep her on staff and give her a raise! Since discovering how the previous staff has handled my issue, she has been working diligently to correct the problems. Looking forward to be able to leave my apartment with ease. Thank you!

Moving into this apartment complex was the worst decision I have ever made. The lack of communication from management is beyond unacceptable. Calls go unanswered, emails are ignored, and residents are left completely in the dark. If you check the other reviews, youāll see that this isnāt just my experienceāthe lack of communication is a well-documented issue. When I first moved in from out of state, I was given no information on how to pay rent or where to do soāI had to figure it out on my own after reaching out several times. Despite multiple emails and calls, I never received a response. I do not have the availability to go into the office being that I work during the open hours. Additionally, I was never given a key to my storage unit, despite repeated requests via email.
However, the most serious issue was the complete disregard for resident safety. While pregnant, I experienced a terrifying stalking incident where someone repeatedly left things at my door. I filed a police report and contacted the apartment complex multiple times, yet no one responded. After weeks of unanswered calls and emails, I finally received a vague response stating that someone from upper management would reach out to me and that I should get a police report. No one from management ever followed up, leaving me completely unprotected and fearing for my safety.
The stress of this situation severely impacted my health, leading to multiple emergency room visits and, ultimately, a miscarriage. Despite my desperate attempts to get in touch with someone about my safety and options for leaving my lease, I was met with complete silence. I still have every email proving this negligence. The lack of security at this complex is alarmingāanyone can enter the property, and management does nothing to address serious concerns.
After over a month of no response, I was forced to have my childās father retrieve my belongings and return my keys because I was too afraid to go back. Even then, no one from the office reached out. Yet, months later, I received a call from a debt collector regarding fees that make no senseāstill with no prior communication from the complex and still no answered calls.
If anyone from this management team is reading this, I am still waiting for a response. Otherwise, I will see you in court.

If I could give 0 stars I would letās just say these apartments would have so much potential if they had better people running the office. They fired the old staff (Yolonda) and now have people in the office who lie and give misinformation.
I went into the office last month to let them know I would be late on rent. The brown-skinned girl that sits in the front office told me we have 14 days from the late notice (dated the 5th) to pay and avoid court fees. Well, I found out yesterday that was a lie. They have a āoh wellā attitude in that office. I explained to the Hispanic lady in the side office what I was told, and she said, āOh well, thereās no set date they file with the courtāthey can file anytime after the 5th.ā
So, if youāre okay with being a resident thatās consistently left in the dark and given numerous inconsistencies from person to person, then this is the place for you.
I asked the brown-skinned girl when my lease is up and when I need to give notice if I donāt plan to renew. She got smart and said, āYou can do it today,ā but when I matched her attitude, she said, ā60 days before the end of the lease.ā
I moved in when these apartments first opened, and I went to the office not once, but three times to report that the construction crew left blue tape on the back of the master bathroom door where thereās a hole, and asked if they could fix it. I was told all three times that it would be taken care ofāstill not done, and itās been over a year. I told them I put it on my move-in sheet when I returned it, but they claimed they donāt have it in my file. They are unorganized.
I put in a work order for my sink draining slowly and my smoke detectors beepingāitās been over two months, and nothing has been fixed. The excuse (from the brown-skinned girl in the front office) is that they have āplenty of work ordersā and I should put in another one.
If you rent out the community room, you canāt have the outdoor bathroom unlocked because youāll be responsible if damage is done, even after your reservation is over. Instead of them coming back to lock it up, they leave it on you.
When they took over, the brown-skinned girl told me that if rent went up at renewal, I could come in and they could possibly work something out. But with all the lies they tell, Iām sure thatās another lie too.
I reported pizza being left at an apartment door in my buildingāitās been sitting there on the ground for nearly two weeks. I told them to check on the residents. The guy in the office claimed he would, but the pizza and wings are still outside the door (G-206). And if he really came by, he shouldāve cleaned up the mess.
There were two incidents where dogs were loose, and nothing was done about that either. But theyāre quick to send out emails about package pickup procedures and garbage overflowing (and one garbage area for the entire left side of the complex is crazy).
The only good thing is that my floor is quiet, and we all speak. If you leave something outside your door, it will still be there. I canāt speak for the other buildings, but Building G is pretty safe when it comes to packages, etc.
Next, Iāll be reaching out to the management company to express my level of disgust with the inconsistent dates for when court filings happen. I feel residents should be told what date late fees are assessed and when court filings begināit should be consistent month to month.
Oh yeah, when I asked the brown-skinned girl about those dates, she kept saying, āIf you pay your rent on time, you wouldnāt have to worry about that.ā Like, no s___āthatās not what I asked. And then she wants to play clueless and give me a dumb look. But when I matched her energy, she tried to change her tone.
Long story short: Save yourself the headache. Go somewhere else. These apartments will go through several more people in that office because the ones down there now are trash.

I toured this apartment complex earlier today and I am in love! When I walked in the door, the office staff quickly greeted me and was super friendly. Both, the Manager, Breanna and the Assistant, Raileen were at their doors, by the time I made it through the front door. I was shown a super cute and updated 3-bedroom on the 3rd floor and let me tell you, the view was amazing!! The patio overlooked the playground, but I could also see the mountains over the community. Although I wish I could've taken the apartment I toured, I'm not looking to move until September. But I cannot wait until my current lease is up, so I can apply and move in.

I 10/10 do not recommend moving to Copa Flats. The rules are strict to a point of invasion of privacy. Upon move out, you will not only not receive a refund but they will bring up bogus charges in order to bill you. My deposit has been stolen and I am being billed for contractors errors during the building of this place.
