Always a nice location to rent for events. Multifunction building. Has basketball hoops, ability to do indoor soccer, roller skating, craft shows, concert and more. Nice building to have in the community.

Played big bucks bingo here. Have had many other activities at this facility. Is well maintained and can accommodate a lot of people for any event.

The Kingwood Civic Center skating is a fun opportunity for family entertainment in the area. Open to all ages from 3pm - 5pm every Sunday, the $4 per person admission includes skate rental or you can bring your own skates ( no break on the admission). You can skate in/skate out to a snack bar, vending machines, and public restrooms. There is a small area for novice skaters to practice. My concern is that I didn't see anyone spraying skates at any point. If you aren't bringing your own equipment, I would pack some commercial disinfectant.

This is regarding the Kingwood Summer Camp only... The counselors do not engage with the children sufficiently. They hang around with each other in the lobby while I was the only adult in the gym with the kids for a half hour at the end of the day. My son was bullied, not physically, but psychologically, like kids getting in his face and asking weird questions. I had many more introverted kids wanting my attention when I would stay for a while before/after pick-up, since that's what they needed and weren't getting. My son did enjoy a few things but overall was lonely and homesick. I made him stick it out 4 days and that was enough. If you have a tough extroverted kid, especially one who likes to tease others, then this is a good choice, otherwise, FAIL.

I might add my wife and I run a family child care home, I have 4 children - the oldest 32 and the youngest 7 - have taught Sunday School, volunteer to read at West Preston, come from a family of teachers. My oldest has Asperger's and my 2nd oldest has ADD. I homeschooled my daughter through high school. I think I'm qualified to judge.
