Shevawn Akers was great to work with. She helped us sell our home. She guided us in the right direction from the moment we planned to sell our house all the way through closing and even negotiated post occupancy agreements. She made sure that we had sufficient notice while scheduling showings. She was excellent in communicating feedback and recommendations after each showing. She also helped us with buying when we were looking for a home and was great in understanding our needs rather than just showing homes. She helped us find professionals for repairs and prepping on very short notice. Buying and selling a home is a stressful process, but Shevawn took all that pressure away from us. Full disclosure up front: Shevawn and I have been friends for years before real estate was her jam. It’s not always easy to handle business with with friends, but with Shevawn, it worked out fabulously well. She walked through the process with us each and every step of the way. I’ve read reviews stating that she goes above and beyond, and that is true with our experience with her, as well. There is no hem-hawing around with Shevawn. Instead, your inquiries are met with just straightforward realness and proceeded by action. And, in my experience, when you’re making life changing decisions like when, where and how to sell your home, you need to have straight forward talk. Most importantly to me, Shevawn took the time to understand what was important to us, beyond the transaction. She exceeded transactional real estate and added the relational aspect. 5-star all day!
