Do the Life Chronicles! That’s beyond awesome! I was mesmerized! I knew that I am just walking or even standing - nonetheless my brain told me that I was going up or down. And it was a nice story/adventure.
I especially liked that what I saw felt so real and that it was possible to go closer to the animals or plants I‘ve been looking at…like kneeling down at the eggs and watch the little cuties hatch.

Since I‘ve been so fascinated by the whole experience we‘ve been back for the impressionists, since I love Monet and his contemporaries. Well, after the Life Chronicles it was a bit boring to be quite frank and the art design wasn‘t as good. And - compared to Life Chronicles - the whole thing felt a bit sloppy. It was too much talking- I expected more.
So it wasn’t worth the price, especially when you know lots about the period.
Still - if you want to have a kind of immersive museum visit and meet the artists of this specific period you might enjoy it. It‘s definitely educational.

This was such an amazing experience. My group of 4 adults first experienced the Horizon of Khufu. It’s hard to explain- you just have to experience it. It was so much fun that after a 15 or 20 minute break we decided to do the Life Chronicles Expedition.
If I had to compare the two I would say Khufu leaned towards the educational side. If you enjoy learning through the experience I would say you’d love this. I did!
Kids, especially the younger ones, might like the Life Chronicles better. You will find yourself looking around in all directions at the plants and animals. (Note: if you’re susceptible to motion sickness take some Dramamine ahead of time)
Both experiences take place in the same room. If you go during a really busy time you might hear other people (on other adventures) talking and/or trying to figure out where their kids are. (Which is really crazy because their children have not actually wandered off into a jungle of dinosaurs - the reality is it is just a room!) Some people are not very considerate of others. So if possible pick an “off time” to go. But do go! It’s fantastic!

This is hands down five stars!! We did Horizon of Khufu and it was AWESOME!!! I felt like I was really there. It was really fun and I will definitely be returning when family comes in town. There were very few people there when we went which was perfect. I can see how things may become a little tricky (or annoying lol) if there is a crowd. But I highly recommend!!

We had the absolute BEST time at the Horizon of Khufu: Journey in Ancient Egypt virtual realty exhibition. Words do not adequately describe it. Mind blowing! 🤯 My husband and I CANNOT WAIT to do more VR exhibits here and we are going to invite other friends and family to try it. That was the most fun I've had in ages!

We stumbled upon Illuminarium in Atlanta and had a great time! Our scheduled time was 2:45, and we wrapped up around 4:05, so it’s about an hour-long adventure once you’re inside. Pro tip: budget 15–20 minutes for the check-in process—it was a bit clunky, but nothing too bad. No need to arrive early; they won’t let you in until your time slot anyway. We did the Horizon of Khufu experience, which was super cool and immersive. The visuals and sound effects made us feel like we were exploring ancient Egypt. Overall, a fun and unique way to spend an afternoon.

Wow, wow ,and wow!!!! This place was truly unbelievable!!! This was a trip for my daughter and I on birthday, Oct 14 2023. I am horrible at filming, but hopefully, from the videos and pictures, you all will capture the energy of this beautiful place. We were in the African Safari room. The place has several different themed rooms that can be purchased. VERY friendly staff, clean restrooms, and not overcrowded. My family truly enjoyed this place!

I really wanted to attend the all day experience and was hoping to at least see the Space Exhibition. However, they had a themed event for Black History Month. It is not worth the price ($50 with refund insurance). This night was similar to a high end club scene. The games and dancing were fun though.

I felt as though they could have had more for the displays. But there are only two rooms.
The food was not worth the money either. The fries were horribly dry. Our food was also late as a whole. I will give the food runner a 10 as well as the DJ. The door staff seemed nice and helpful. They also gave me a free drink for my birthday. Parking is difficult because most of the spaces are blocked with cones. We end up parking in the Common Ground area which is actually affordable at $5 total.

The main takeaway here is that this was NOT worth the ticket price. I came here last night for an After Dark Album Release Experience/Dance Party and while it was fun, it was not worth $45. Positives: the food and drinks were pretty good, the valet was only $3 and was very convenient, there was plenty of seating/room to dance, and they had a few fun photo ops. Negatives: calling it an “experience” is a stretch. It was just the same 4 projections playing on a loop and had nothing to do with the artist or even matched with the songs playing. There was one theme that was catered to the event which was cool but it felt lazily put together (see image with hilarious typo). Also, the service was incredibly slow because they had ONE server for the whole event. She did a GREAT job but they should have had more help for her. In addition, the DJ did their best but the song choices were strange and their ad libs were off-putting. Overall, not a terrible time! But it’s only worth half the ticket price so I don’t think I would come again.
