One of the best things about retiring from public service is that I’m no longer trapped under NEOGOV’s Orwellian boot heel. The software is so actively hostile toward its users that it feels like Skynet took over the HR department. HR managers love it, of course, since it frees them from the tedious responsibility of actually interacting with the rank and file employees. That being said, NEOGOV does serve an extremely valuable function: If the agency you’re applying with uses NEOGOV, it gives you fair warning about the treatment you can expect to receive as their employee.

Did not even want to give a one star rating. Tried to log on to apply for a county position (professional), said they would send an email to assist with my existing account. No e email came. Called toll free number, told to call another number. Called the number and was told to leave a voice message with name and phone number. Twenty eight (28) hours have lapsed and still no response. A lot to be desired for their customer service department.
