One of the many old meeting halls in the county, this time used for a craft fair. It has unique exterior and interior embellishments and warm wooden floors throughout. There is lots of room to spread out or one can use just a room or two. There's a fully stocked kitchen and handicapped accessible restrooms. It's original design makes it easy to find on the street.

Beautiful historical building built in traditional Portuguese architecture. The Arcata Portuguese Hall hosts several annual Portuguese festivals that bring the entire Portuguese community in the area together to celebrate ( all are welcome Portuguese or not). There's a stage with a beautiful dancehall with a window opening to a snack bar type area, a hanging room for guests to hang their coats and a good size bar room for guests to enjoy adult beverages, newly renovated restrooms a large dining hall with one of the finest kitchens you're going to find in the he county. There's an enclosed outdoor area and upstairs has a private club. Throughout the building there's beautiful artwork of all the Azore Islands (the majority of the Portuguese community who live in Arcata are from the Azores) there's also historical information about the building and about the people it serves located inside. It's located on 11th Street close to downtown there's plenty of parking on the street. It's hard to find it better than you venue in the county for anyone looking to host a large event. The place is incredibly clean and very well taken care of you would have to really pick through the place to find something that needs attention.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS VENUE, it's a scam. I rented the Portuguese Hall for cinco de mayo, 5/8/17. The president Mike Alves is refusing to give me my $1000 down deposit back. I cleaned the hall the night of the event, and re-cleaned the hall the morning after with a cleaning service. I was told by members of the Hall that the cleaning was complete and my down deposit was being returned. I would like the contact information from other members of the Hall to complain about the disrespect from the president Mike Alves. He is not returning any of my calls or text messages, after stating that he will not return any money to me. This place will scam you for your money, do not trust this venue.
