5/5
Played through their VR escape room (the prison breakout), at their temporary location in the Gilruth Center. (Check their website.) It was quite good, and had a couple features that wouldn't be possible in a real-life escape room. (Like each participant seeing different things in the same room.) The owner was very helpful in getting us set up and explaining things (thanks Bud!).
If you've tried VR before, you probably know it can be a little finicky at times. But their equipment and staff help made it a relatively smooth experience. Like I got a wider headset frame so I could keep my glasses on. And their "free-roam" equipment (no wires, everyone in a big open room), means you can move around naturally. This can also help a bit for anyone who struggles with motion sickness in VR.
If you're a fan of VR or escape rooms, it's definitely worth a look. They even have multiple difficulty levels for more experienced escapers. And it's a somewhat new business, so they would very much appreciate any new customers to help them get established. Or if you're just looking for something new to try out, they were very helpful in walking us through everything. I brought my 60-year-old parents and they enjoyed it too, so no need to worry about a learning curve.
Can't wait to see how they expand things once they move into their official location.
