Shannon Callahan represented us as buyers agent. Our experience in the buying process was great. Shannon's work ethic is amazing. She was always available to answer any question or provide data related to properties. We worked with her from Washington state. We made 2 trips to Dallas area to look at homes. Shannon took the time spent 2 full days showing us the homes and was very patient with our questions. During the offer process and negotiation Shannon was diligent in the getting the docs created in time. Evaluated the options and suggested a few tips. She also negotiated title cost, Home warranty from seller as part of the contract. Feedback to Escalate group: One important thing buyer's agent could do is to propose a price to negotiate. During sellers market buyers don't have a choice, however in the current market which is a buyers market, there is room for negotiation. The realtor company can do additional market analysis and propose a price to negotiate so that buyers can be delighted. In our case, I did my analysis and was able to arrive at a price that was below the asking. Also I analyzed the listing history before settling in an offer price. Additional analysis like this would greatly help the buyers. Fortunately I have the skills and time to do such analysis. Not all buyers do. If your company can equip your buyers agents with such analysis it will be differentiator from the rest of the agents.

Escalante offered a system notifying me by email each day of condominiums for sale in the areas of Dallas in which I expressed interest. Shea Dowell whom I had never met was the named contact. Her persistence resulted in my asking her to show me a variety of properties and over time we narrowed my choices down. Shea was patient and offered expertise and was quite fun to work with. Success! Working with Shea we negotiated on the condo I liked from early on and I bought it. Shea and the Escalante team were excellent in making my purchase happen.
