I'm graduating Union Mine High School this year and have attended there for the past four years. Union Mine is a amazing school with a beautiful campus and a diversity of classes, from A.P. Environment to Digital Imaging to Advanced P.E. The school has great drama and music programs taught by some talented and caring teachers. A lot of the teachers at Union Mine seem to care about their students, and while some can be boring or seem mean, the majority are not. The school even has a safety school ambassador program, aimed at fighting bullying. While I am honestly not certain how much this program has achieved, there is a very limited amount of bullying on campus. Union Mine also has several sports teams. I love going to the football games and as a tennis player I am proud to report the courts have been newly redone! Union Mine is great for a high school, and I am lucky to go there.

Our son is just starting his Sophomore year. After going to 13 -yes 13- different high schools myself, I must say, Union Mine is an absolute joy! They are extremely student focused. The block schedule is amazing. Special "D-back" days allow kids to either make up missed work or enjoy extra-curricular activities during school time. The administrative staff is helpful. My son LOVES 11 out of 12 teachers he's had (the 12th was only "alright") so far. Lots of AP classes. Opportunity to graduate early. Beautiful campus design and landscape. Tons of extra-curriculars to choose from- not just sports. Weekly emails from principal keep you well-informed. Aeries access to grades/attendance. Staff is on top of dress code control and there is a zero tolerance for bullying. Enormous parking lots. Two gymnasiums. Modern electronic marque. What else can I say?
