Son turned instrument back into school. Account was paid up at the time of return. Band director said nothing about needing to take it back home and return it to an instrument store an hour away from home.

Received generic emails that I can't respond to "do not reply." Emails don't say how much you owe, just that you owe money. When you log into your account online, it doesn't show how much you owe or any payment history which is shady as hell. Kept trying to call to figure out what was going on but no one answers when you call. You sit on hold for 20 minutes and then get sent to voicemail.

They'll call you back but their voicemail gives no additional information, just your account is overdue and you need to call Veritas.

Finally figured out that we were continuing to "rent the instrument" for months because it wasn't supposed to be returned to the school. Yes, this was in the contract...that we had signed a year ago and had no digital access to.

Kept getting messages to return to a retailer but couldn't get an email response and again, the voicemails just kept saying I needed to call them back. Finally, figured out where to return it after literally changing my voicemail message to be directed at them.

Now that we've got it returned, I still owe them money. How much? Who knows because I can make a payment online but can't see how much I owe. Back to phone tag again.

I would rather get a root canal than work with this company again.

Also, if you read all the previous reviews, it is the same complaints over and over again but they refuse to acknowledge their business is the problem. If you're having this much trouble getting accounts settled and getting instruments returned, maybe your business is the problem, not all of your customers.

Update: After response below, I received a letter threatening legal action if the instrument wasn't returned. Had to call again for clarity but as usual, on hold for 20 minutes then sent to voicemail.

Also, I paid 200$ just to get them to stop harassing me. No way of knowing if I owed more or less than that because there is no information about the account balance when you log in online. If I overpaid, there is no way of knowing and there is no way they'd contact me if they owed me money.

The company is a scam and they hide behind poor communication and bad records keeping/access to information to get as much money as possible from every customer. They've got the schools promoting them as if they're the only option and rely on parents' trust in the school's recommendation. I've known Nigerian Princes with better intentions.

I had issues trying to setup my online account and dorthya was extremely helpful as the site was down. She gave me all the info I needed to set it up and even let me know when it was back up without me having to reach back out or just check again later like I was planning to. I've also called in to customer service twice and everyone was extremely helpful!

**Revised previous 1 star because company made good on their reply concerning credit bureau. However,
when I spoke on the phone with someone, the representative said that there was nothing they could do, which is why I posted the negative review to begin with. I hope there is a learning experience for current or future customers and for the company's support team from my review.**

Original: Spent nearly $1,300 renting a trumpet for my son for 2 years. I was never invested enough to figure out how much I would need to pay to just own the trumpet, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be $1,300.

My real issue is that when I returned the rental, I thought the account was closed. The company apparently charged more after the instrument was returned and sent a request for payment to old address information. I only found out 4 months after I returned the instrument by seeing failure to pay on my credit report. I contacted them immediately and didn't argue or fight with them about it and just paid the measly amount, not knowing what else to do to get it off credit report.

I've never had a negative remark on my credit until they did that. Now, I'm filing disputes with bureaus because of them. After reading other reviews, I've noticed many others having similar experiences. I wish I had read these reviews before renting and just outright purchased the instrument from someone else.

Paid in full and returned over 3 years ago, inconsistantly reporting a balance owed on my credit report ever since. They would not have taken the instrument back if I still owed anything for it. This place does not do fair business.

I enjoyed the business that this company had to offer in 2018. As a single mom I wasn't able to afford an instrument at the time for my daughter to join the school band. This company made very accessible for us. I picked up the instrument at a town nearby and returning it was very easy too. Good Job Guys!!
