Unmatched Performance and Service with Vision Miner’s 22 IDEX

As the lead engineer at Caltech, working on aerospace projects like the next generation Mars Rover and Helicopter, I’ve had extensive experience with the 22 IDEX, and I feel compelled to share my professional opinion. After reading a more critical review, I want to offer my own insights, especially since my experience with Vision Miner and the 22 IDEX has been extremely positive.

I purchased the 22 IDEX to print high-performance materials like PEEK, Carbon Fiber PEEK, PSU, and Ultem. Other machines I’ve tried in the past simply could not handle these advanced materials. While no machine is perfect at printing all parts right out of the box, once we understood the interface and began tuning the settings for different geometries, it consistently delivered outstanding results. We now produce structurally sound, functional parts that we can immediately test and use in critical applications.

Unlike what some reviews suggest, my experience with the machine’s build quality has been excellent. The bed assembly is solid, the calibration process was smooth, and the overall performance exceeded my expectations. Vision Miner’s team was instrumental in helping me fine-tune the settings to achieve the precision and durability I needed.

I understand that some users have reported issues with earlier versions, but I can confidently say that Vision Miner has shown a commitment to continuous improvement. The V3 model I use shows no signs of the problems mentioned in previous versions. The upgrades, from enhanced wiring to the emergency stop switch, all work flawlessly, and Vision Miner’s support team has been top-notch throughout the process.

One aspect I appreciate most is Vision Miner’s customer service. They’ve been incredibly responsive, available for video calls and phone support whenever needed, and their technical expertise helped me overcome any initial challenges with ease. For anyone worried about support, I can assure you Vision Miner will be there every step of the way.

If you’re considering the 22 IDEX, don’t let a couple negative experiences sway you. My own experience has been nothing short of exceptional, and this machine has allowed us to print faster, better, and with more advanced materials than ever before.

I just wanna say that this place is amazing. Particularly Kyle. Thanks for the awesome work you did for my daughter’s Amythyst whip. I had called a few other places but they could not get it done. I finally did get someone but they didn’t come through. I called Vision Miners on Halloween morning and they came through the same day. Thanks Kyle. You made my daughter very happy. She is still having a great time playing with the whip. This place gets “5” stars hands down.

I want to commend the team at Vision Miner for their continued excellent support. We (House of Plastics Unlimited, Orlando, FL) have a V2 22 IDEX 3D printer from Vision Miner and have the need on large print jobs to automatically switch from the printing using the 1st spool of filament to the 2nd spool when filament on the 1st spool runs out. I was able to get the macro modifications that I made to mostly work. But when I ran into a snag, Nazar at vision miner jumped in to provide the final solution overnight. The auto filament switch capability is something that Vision Miner was planning to eventually implement soon in a firmware upgrade. But they responded immediately to meet pressing our requirement to implement the capability right away.

We couldn't be happier with Vision Miner support!!!!! They are extremely knowledgeable and responsive. Thanks Nazar and Jay for for being such great vendors!!!!
