We worked with Adam from Martin Gerard agency to rent a house, we may not have found the house we wanted but we were very happy with the service we received. Adam was always polite and helpful during and after showing houses. I have worked with many agencies but he is probably the best guy.

Customer service is lacking, there’s no maintenance team in place they won’t care of you have no heating taking over 10 working days to sort a simple issue. Very quick to get contracts signed and take your hard earned money .

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Agents lied to me when I bought a flat along with the seller. Incredibly disappointed and would never recommend the Finchley team. They were also rude throughout the process. Just the worst really. So many better and more trustworthy agents in the Finchley area, I would not bother with these people.

The Finchley branch of Martyn Gerrard helped us sell our property which was sold last week. Given the current market, and the fact we had a tenant in the house, it was a remarkable effort getting a great price, with a smooth process. Particular thanks to Gabriella who did a fantastic job getting the deal over the line when there was a few tricky points to smooth over. 5 stars well deserved!

We surveyed the best agents in the area and Martyn Gerrard came up trumps with 98% asking price and shortest time to deal. Reality was perfect, Abby was 100% on the ball, pricing understanding the area and strategy. I own a property business, so I have comparatives. We had some work to do to get an ex rental house ready for sale, but by the time we were ready Abby had lined up a number of potential buyers. Sold on the first day at 98% of asking with cash buyer completed in 4 weeks. Done, can't ask for more than that.

I had to sell my flat and after they came to see and value it I was assured that it would be on the market in just a few days. Today after 2 weeks I cancelled every relationship with Martyn Gerrard Estate Agent as, not only they completely disappeared, they ignored my emails and messages.
Today after 7 emails and around 20 phone calls they got back to me saying they are ready to list my flat on their platform. Really!!
non professional, lack of response and not reliable. Certainly I would not recommend them.

I expected more from a self acclaimed award winning estate agent, that plaster their branding throughout Finchley pretending to care about their clients, when unfortunately for us (and all else be warned) they’re terrible, they don’t care, they don’t help and I’d avoid them at all costs.

From kick off you get hounded by agents ‘checking you’re still searching’ however when you make your viewing request you can’t gain access, it’s always the tenants fault or so they say.

The offering process is poor, left hand doesn’t talk to the right hand, very disjointed, we agreed a move date but that changed without prior notice. One agent called to advise if we offer the same already rejected offer for a second time it’ll be accepted, we did, but it wasn’t. However the agent didn’t advise us until we repeatedly chased them.

Their tenancy agreement is littered with clauses that go against the law, yet their response was simply sign it or don’t move in, lovely. Worse still one of the many impressively titled letting directors/head of department sits on the very same governing body that I refer too, so it’s more do as we say not as we do approach. So poor and will be followed up on.

They save the worst until your move in though, they don’t allow access to measure up and check the home (see claim about tenants access above) they then claim to check the property and report back to your new landlord.
They don’t tell you about your move day until you chase them.
They then claim to not be involved in the management so can simply hand you over and wash their hands of you.

An agent their called Oliver and the house itself is the only reason we went ahead, I’m hopeful he sees the type of firm that employ him and either progresses through the ranks and makes a real difference or leaves and finds another firm.
